What I like about St Philomena’s School is the sheer individual attention/help/time the children get with their school work, which is only feasible with the small class sizes that you have in St Philomena’s.  I also like the way all the children from Grade 1 right up to Prep 6 all know each other and each other’s names which make the children feel very included and comfortable mixing with each other both inside and outside of the school.

I send my children to St. Philomena's because I believe the smaller class sizes are a significant advantage for their educational progress.
The school offers my children a safe, positive and familiar environment, where everyone knows each other which makes for confident and happy children. And that's really all a parent can ask for.

My contact with St Philomena’s spanned a period of more that ten years, finishing in 2009 when my younger daughter moved on to secondary school; she started in the Montessori with Eileen on her third birthday so effectively grew and blossomed within the school environment that St. Philomena’s is able to provide.
Reflecting back both girls gained enormously from their primary school experiences and have made the transition to secondary school with confidence and self belief.
All the family have very warm and happy memories of the  ‘Philomena  years’ and if I’d the time back to repeat with them again I wouldn’t change a thing.

Every parent wants to give their child the best education possible both academically and also to enrich and develop their individual personality. In choosing St. Philomena’s as a school for our daughter two years ago all these boxes were ticked and more. The Montessori school gave her an appetite for learning in a safe and caring environment and made the steps to grade 1 an easy transition. As a working mum the advantage of a wonderful after school facility was a great plus, also activities like piano and violin lessons on site meant no rushing after work across town to fit in the many extras that we all want our children to participate in. Now at the end of her second year we feel she is receiving an education not just numbers and letters but awareness of her surroundings, she speaks of Recycling, green flags, fair-trade, guide dogs, flowers pollinating (wow!) and much more. Happy child = 2 happy parents.
